At Domotex, Kährs showcases new and updated product ranges with a strong focus on long-term performance, material responsibility and Scandinavian design.
Trend predictions 2026
Kährs presentation at Domotex reflects several developments currently shaping the future of the flooring industry. Based on market insights and customer demand, Kährs identifies four key trends expected to influence the industry in 2026:

Across markets, there is a growing shift toward materials and surfaces designed to last over time, both visually and technically. Flooring is increasingly specified with a focus on ageing, maintenance and long-term performance rather than short-term trends.

Residential flooring is expected to meet demands traditionally associated with commercial spaces, such as durability, stability and ease of maintenance, without compromising on design expression.

Architects, retailers and consumers are asking for clearer information about material composition, origin and intended use. This puts manufacturers under growing pressure to reduce material impact, increase recycled content and document lifecycle performance, particularly within public and institutional projects. Transparency around materials and performance has become a baseline requirement rather than a differentiator.

As homes take on more functions, flooring is increasingly expected to support daily wellbeing. Comfort underfoot, quieter interiors and easy maintenance are becoming just as important as design, positioning flooring as an active contributor to healthier, more comfortable living spaces.

About Kährs Life
The collection uses renewable oak in a material-efficient construction, making it well suited for everyday homes. The launch reflects a growing demand for real wood floors that combine natural character with practical performance – including in homes with children and pets, where easy cleaning and long-lasting durability matter.
Kährs Life Authentic is available in three formats, developed to suit different interior needs:
Plank, offering a classic wood floor expression for residential interiors.
Deluxe, a large format with 235 x 2205 mm for impressive surface design.
Herringbone, designed patterned statements suitable for both contemporary and traditional spaces.
Kährs Life Authentic offers a highly durable and complete premium real wood flooring range at an accessible price. The collection combines strong Scandinavian design appeal with a clear sustainability profile and higher functional demands.
Thanks to the high-quality, ultra-matt varnish, the wood is protected from moisture for longer as it delays water absorption. With an installation height of just 10 mm, these boards are ideal for renovations or for use in areas where a thicker floor is not possible due to the installation height, and they are particularly easy and quick to install thanks to Woodloc® 5G.
“Kährs Life Authentic combines the natural feel of real wood with durability and easy maintenance. By using renewable oak in a resource-efficient construction, we offer a premium wood floor that works for modern family life without compromising on sustainability or quality,” says Dr. Joschua Bieger, CEO Kährs Deutschland.

The Flora collection is a parquet range with a clear Scandinavian design expression that in a short time has become a well-established part of Kährs wood flooring category. The collection is manufactured in Sweden and features Kährs 5G locking system, designed to support efficient installation. At Domotex 2026, Kährs introduces new additions to the Flora collection; a 1-strip flooring with a thinner oak top layer, making it an affordable yet durable flooring choice.
Enomer & Kährs Infinity Collection: Circular flooring for demanding environments
Enomer is Kährs PVC-free resilient flooring material, which has already proven itself successfully on the market for over 20 years. Developed for environments with high technical and hygiene requirements. It is commonly used in healthcare, education, Life sciences (laboratories) or other public spaces where durability, cleanability and sustainability are important factors.
At Domotex 2026, Kährs presents Kährs Infinity, a new Enomer-based floor with a high content of recycled material. Kährs Infinity is designed as a circular flooring solution combining functional performance with a refined, contemporary colour palette.

Kährs launches digital B2B customer portal to simplify ordering processes
Kährs is currently rolling out a new digital customer portal for retailers and distributors. The portal marks an important step in modernizing customer interaction, simplifying access to product information, stock availability and ordering across markets.
The portal allows users to view product details, stock status and place orders 24/7 - even on weekends - making it easier for retailers to provide fast and accurate price and delivery information to their customers.
“This is an important step in meeting our customers in a more modern and efficient way, and we have already received very positive feedback from several retailers,” says Johan Magnusson, CEO, Kährs Group.
The portal is currently being rolled out in Germany, Sweden, UK and several other prioritized Kährs markets.
