| How to use | Vacuum clean the floor carefully. Clean the floor using Kährs Cleaner and Micro Mop. Follow the Kährs Cleaner instructions. Only damp cleaning, the surface should be dry again within a minute. For very dirty floors replace the micro mop using a rough brush. Remove cleaner and dirt using a wrung out cloth. Dry the surface using a dry cloth and leave the floor to dry for 30 minutes. For very dirty floors or on floors with heavy textures, it might be necessary to repeat step 2-4. Protect the floor from direct sunlight and keep off all underfloor heating from day before application till 24 hours after application. The temperature of the floor, oil and air must be between 13°C (55°F) and 25°C (77°F). Relative humidity of the room should be between 40% and 60%. Higher humidity of room extends drying time of finish thus waiting time between layers Apply a thin layer of Kährs Satin Oil on the surface and spread it evenly with a Kährs Micro Mop or a dry cloth by scrubbing along the texture. Shake the can vigorously. Polish again with a new Micro Mop after 10-15 minutes so that no sticky parts are left. Please observe that two layers of thin oil gives a better result than one thick layer. Applying a too high amount of oil will result in a sticky surface. Note! A danger of self-ignition exists in contact with organic materials (e.g. cotton cloths, saw dust, absorbing insulation materials etc.) due to self-drying oil content. Rags and other organic materials soaked in oil have to be put into water immediately after use, in order to avoid self-ignition. |
