How to install LVP flooring​

Before you begin to install LVP flooring

A smooth installation starts with the right preparation.

Temperature control: Make sure the room and flooring materials are kept between 64°F and 77°F for at least 48 hours before installation.

Subfloor requirements: Kährs luxury vinyl plank flooring can be installed on most clean, dry, solid, and flat subfloors. Remove any wall-to-wall carpet or existing floating floors.

Moisture watch: If installing over concrete, the RH must not exceed 85%

Radiant heat: turn off the system during installation and bring up to temperature gradually. Surface temperature should not exceed 81 F

Start by measuring your space. Plan the layout making sure that the last row on each side is at least 2 inches wide. Inspect every plank for damage or defects before installing.
