In 2014, Kährs strengthens its sustainable offer by applying for and receiving the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for the first time on its wood floors. Today, Kährs offers more than 200 floors certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and has continued to certify their floors with relevant and strict ecolabels globally and locally.
In 2019, Kährs expands its flooring solutions to also include Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT). Using their knowledge of wood material, designs were developed that mimic the natural variation of wood along with features such as waterproofing, dent and wear resistance in a durable, well-designed LVT flooring solution for the home.
In 2022, Kährs introduces two new flooring solutions, both carrying the Nordic Eco-label: Kährs Zero & Green, a PVC-free plastic flooring made from both recycled and bio-based materials, and Kährs Aware, made from recycled fibers from the textile industry, with the appearance and durability of a wood floor.
In 2023, Kährs forms a five-year partnership in the cutting-edge field of Neurodesign to better understand how room design and materials support healing, learning, and creativity. Kährs will use this new knowledge in future floor innovations and product development to promote health, performance, and well-being.
In 2025, Kährs Infinity is launched to complement Kährs PVC-free plastic flooring offer. Kährs Infinity contains up to 60–90% recycled content, and as a more affordable alternative to Kährs Zero, it delivers high performance in commercial spaces in Healthcare and Education, second only to the performance of Kährs Zero.
