Before you begin

Proper preparation is key to a successful installation of Kährs Luxury Tiles.

Temperature control: Make sure the room and flooring materials are kept between 64°F and 77°F for at least 48 hours before installation.

Subfloor requirements: Kährs Luxury Tiles can be installed on most clean, dry, solid, and flat subfloors. Remove any wall-to-wall carpet or existing floating floor.

Moisture management: If installing over concrete, RH must not exceed 85%

Radiant heat: turn off the system during installation and bring up to temperature gradually. Surface temperature should not exceed 81 degrees

Quick tips

Inspect

Plan the layout making sure that the last row on each side is at least 2 inches wide. Inspect every plank for damage or defects before installing.

Laying floorboards

Install the floor along the longest wall or in the direction of light for most pleasing visual appeal.

Maintain a 3/8" expansion joint around the perimter to allow for natural movement. Ensure the floor is free to move and avoid heavy fixed furniture that may restrict it.
